This is a good tool but to make corrections you need to copy and paste (or drag and drop) text from your word processor to RightWriter. Then once the necessary corrections are identified, you need to return to your original document in your word processor to make the corrections. The program’s statements for what needs to be corrected can be very detailed. This can be an advantage or disadvantage. If you are focused on learning, all the information is there. If you just want to edit quickly, the information from RightWriter can be overwhelming. The program does not have the full complement of features and tools compared to WhiteSmoke. RightWriter is the most favorably priced program though.

The Grammarly online grammar checker is a competent, thorough and accurate application and is easy to use. The interface is simple and easy to use. On the downside, Grammarly claims to be free. However, only a 7-day trial is free. Even with this, you must pay up front and then Grammarly will refund if you cancel within seven days. Also the trial does not let you use the program fully – you must submit your text and then you will receive a report of how many errors were in the text. It does not correct your text or show you exactly where the errors are located.
